Chief Operating Officer
UF Health Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Florida
Traci d’Auguste is the COO for the hospitals and programs operated under UF Health Shands at the University of Florida, UF’s flagship hospital and the state’s leading health care referral organization. Patients come to UF Health in Gainesville from all 67 Florida counties and from throughout the region, nation and a dozen countries each year. UF Health has a $1.2 billion budget and employs over 13,000 people.
Traci served as vice president of clinical services at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in New York. Before that, she spent four years at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, first as executive administrator for the department of internal medicine and then as associate vice president of strategic operations for the Rush University Medical Group. Prior roles include administrative duties at the University of Chicago and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and master’s degrees in health care administration and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
VP & Hospital Chief of Staff

As Vice President and Hospital Chief of Staff, Anna Michelle provides operational oversight for several hospital departments and services. She partners with physician and nursing leadership and provides executive oversight for a variety of hospital system initiatives and committees. Additionally, she serves as a key liaison and executive leader supporting our external relationships and activities.
Anna Michelle joined our organization as an administrative resident in 2005 while completing her master’s degrees in health administration and business administration. She was assistant administrator of Shands AGH (2006-2009) and director of operations for UF Health Shands Hospital (2009-2011) before becoming associate vice president of operations (2011-2019).
Anna Michelle has a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Derika Moore
2023-2024 Administrative Fellow
Derika graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Business Administration Minor. She then Received a Master of Healthcare Administration from Saint Louis University, graduating May of 2023. Within her few years at SLU she worked for the university as a Health and Wellness Graduate Assistant as well as Saint Louis Children’s Hospital as a Finance and Strategic Planning Intern. Working directly under the Chief Financial Officer she played a key role in evaluating and dissecting Saint Louis Children’s US News results and updated previous budget forms of the hospital to be in accordance with the new system recently implemented. She also served as a valued member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, the Student Association of Health Management and Policy, and received her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt while pursuing her degree.

Lauren Hickey
2023-2024 Administrative Fellow
Lauren graduated in May 2023 from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she received her Master of Health Administration. Prior to her time at Tulane, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Bioethics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her previous work experience includes an administrative residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery. During her time there, she worked under the Executive Director and collaborated with Education, Finance, Human Resources, and Clinical Operations departments. Although Lauren found her time in Surgery to be valuable, she later discovered her passion for a career within Hospital Operations.

Fedelene Camille
2023-2024 Administrative Fellow
Fedelene is a 2022 Master of Health Administration graduate from University of Miami. While completing her MHA, she worked on projects focused on operation and system optimization and earned a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt. She completed her administrative internship at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina with the Performance Improvement Department. She worked on many projects including optimizing code cart readiness for rapid emergency response and providing Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training across REX.
Fedelene is also a first-generation college graduate and a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholar. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Miami. Prior to pursuing an MHA, she worked as Patient Navigator and Public Health Ambassador for the University of Miami, Research Assistant at UM Brain Tumor Initiative Laboratory, and performed administrative duties while working as a Pharmacy Technician for Walgreens Pharmacy. While at UM, Fedelene spearheaded and served as the president of the first MHA Student Association chapter.
